Ummah West Media Group is a non-profit organization dedicated to work with, and within the media to promote Islam. Formed in 2008, the membership-based group is registered in Vancouver, British Columbia, on the West Coast of Canada.  It is managed by a mosaic of professionals who volunteer their time and expertise in the service of Islam.

The group is built based on a set of core values namely:

•To bridge the gap between misinterpretations of Islam especially in the west, and the faith’s true values
•To provide leadership in defining, interpreting and promoting Islamic content via various media platforms

The group is advised by a 7-member board of directors and is managed by a 10-member executive committee.
